‘Rebel’ by Dogtooth

‘Rebel’ is the latest music video release from young mod/indie band Dogtooth; taken from their EP ‘Breakthrough’ which is due for release on 19th May.

The band is made up of John Hewitson (Lead guitar and vocals), Craig Morrison (Bass guitar) and Robert Lang (Drums and backing vocals) and these three young lads are certainly set for success if this track is anything to go by.

Citing fellow indie rockers Catfish and the Bottlemen as one of their influences, the energetic opening riff to ‘Rebel’ certainly feels reminiscent to that of ‘Sidewinder’, an early hit for The Bottlemen.

The track is shot to a black and white video, rooted in the natural environment of their live performance and it’s clear that they already know how to get a crowd going.

Dogtooth already has a fanbase around the UK, and it’s only set to expand further as they continue with more live dates coming up over May and June; most notably their EP launch at HMV Glasgow and headline slot at Dublin Castle in Camden on 17th June.

With a growing number of young bands engaging in early mod style and sound, it seems Dogtooth are set to be a part of something exciting.
